Digital Portfolio

Here is my digital portfolio. It includes examples of my work I have done in the recent years of my education.

My Review of Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation:

Every girl who is a makeup fan knows Estée Lauder’s Double Wear foundation is THE ONE. It is UK’s number one foundation for many reasons.

The silky smooth texture of Double Wear sits flawlessly on your face covering any imperfections, pigmentation or redness.

With a price of £31 in most stores, I assure you, you will not say it’s a waste of money after you use this product.

The bottle lasts a long time depending on the amount of product you use each day. However, a little goes a long way.

The base is where it all starts. If your foundation looks good, so will the rest of your makeup.

Choose your preferred technique of putting it on, whether it be a sponge or a brush. In the past, I have recommended people to use a round firm brush for buffing the foundation.

fullsizerenderReal Techniques is a popular choice at the moment, the Expert Face Brush has soft, tight bristles which leaves your skin looking airbrushed. You can purchase this from your nearest drug store for just £8.99. Totally worth it.

The best part of this foundation is that it stays on for 16 hours. Perfect for a night out. It does not smudge, come off on clothes or stain anything.

It is lightweight and very comfortable. You don’t need to run to the bathroom before your date to touch up a few patches on your face anymore.

You can head to your local Estée Lauder counter to get a free foundation match with their iMatch shade finder.

An article about the event After Dark, including images:

After Dark is a firework display which is organized every year at Don Valley in Sheffield. The event starts at 6, with rides, food and music for the audience to enjoy until the 9pm display. I interviewed family and friends on their thoughts of the whole event and display.

Here are some questions I asked my friend Hurayyah Luqmaan:

  • What do you think of the entertainment?

– The entertainment brilliant as usual, keeps families and children busy until the display, but don’t forget to take some change with you (no ATMs).

  • What did you think of the firework display?

-Stunning, breath-taking and bright!

  • What was the best part of the event?

-The fireworks obviously. It was worth freezing my ears off.

Here are some questions I asked my parents:

  • How organised was the event?

-Pretty well organised, quick entry, big field so not too crowded in one place.

  • Who did you bring with you?

-My two daughters and her friend.

  • What do you think of the prices?

-Prices are usually similar in events like this, it’s okay for a one off event once a year.

  • There is always a parking issue at Don Valley when After Dark is on. How do you think they should resolve this?

-Unless you go early and pay you have to park all around Don Valley wherever you can find space. It’s a nightmare and you have to walk in the cold to get to the event. I don’t really think there is a solution for parking at Don Valley.

After Dark is a phenomenal celebration for Bonfire Night, don’t miss out on next years event!

A multimedia package for Halloween:

October! What is this month all about for you? For me, it always screams Halloween.

So we’re going to a Halloween party at our friends’ house, or going to town for the events, or maybe even going clubbing with our friends. Wherever we are going, our makeup has to be fleekin’!

I got media makeup student Hurayyah Luqmaan to share her tips on how to perfect your super spooky skull Halloween look.
